Yes, having ranged attackers would be nice. I'd rather keep my distance from giant monsters. Or reenact David and Goliath for fun.

Much has been made of the fact that the best, and some would say only, good part of Alfheim was that they had a good balanced system for ranged and close quarters combat.
That they then screwed up with the arbitrary magic restrictions.

The Deadpool attack summon is balanced by him doing one attack and then hanging out for the rest of the fight and giving feedback.
